How this calculation works
- Volume is the same rectangle-or-area × depth math as mulch.
- Tons = cubic yards × tons per yard. Crushed limestone is often near 1.2–1.5 t/yd³ depending on gradation and moisture.
- Cost uses $/yard unless you enter a $/ton, which is how many quarries actually sell.

- Yes. Crushed stone knits together. An 8% extra is a planning start, not a soils lab result. Deep bases need a contractor’s takeoff.
